The Sun

We just got back from a fun trip to San Diego, so of course most of my pictures are going to be from the trip. Since it was so sunny, I thought they would work for this week's assignment.

For some reason I love taking pictures of the sun shining through tree branches. So here are some older ones that show this.

Pairs of circles taken at the water exhibit at the Science Center.

Trip to the Zoo

Here are some fun pictures I took at the zoo when I went with my family this past week. We all had so much fun. Enjoy!

I didn't get as many good pictures of the animals as I would have liked, but here are a few that turned out all right.

Here are some of the pretty flowers that I found as well.

Here are some of the butterflies we saw.

Finally here are some pictures of Kallen and my niece Sharlie. Kallen's favorite part of the zoo was playing in the dirt while Mom took pictures of the butterflies. I also had to include this last picture of Sharlie because I thought her expresion was great. I had just caught her sneaking some fish crackers from the stroller...she is so sly.

Weight

The first thing I thought of when I knew our assignment was "weight" was baby Kallen. I thought, "he is humongous and weighs a lot...I should use him". But then I couldn't think of any really good shot to do. I really wanted to take a picture of him sitting in one of the fruit/vegetable scales in the produce department, but then I thought I might get into trouble because people would think he was unsanitary...and they would probably be right. So I refrained from doing so. :)

This morning, my family and I went to Snoqualmie Falls and I thought, "it's a stretch, but a whole bunch of water like the falls weighs a lot". So here are a few pictures that I took.

Favorites

I thought I would include some new and old pictures for this one. The new ones will obviously be of Kallen, and the other ones are some of my old favorites. I hope you enjoy.

The Kallen Baby!

Now some other favorites from the past

Negative Space

Again, here are some older pictures that I thought might work for Negative space. Sorry...one of these days there will be some new ones. :)

Here is one of the Jefferson Memorial

And two from the Korean Memorial

Symmetry

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything lately. I just haven't found the time to get out and take pictures of our weekly assignments. The pictures I have taken are all of Kallen and they don't really fit. I thought maybe I'd try to use some of my older pictures to fit for Symmetry, but I don't really have any except for this one. Hopefully it works.

Empty 5/30/07

I didn't have much time to take these, because I had a sleepy baby and a husband with me. However, I hope I was able to capture some examples of "empty". These were taken at the Snoqualmie Railroad Museum.

Empty 5/30/07

I had to include my little boy and husband in one of these pictures...so I guess that this one isn't completely empty...but hey, they are both cute and they were both very patient with me...so they needed to be included.

Kallen's First Mariners Game

Hi Everyone. I'm making my first post on my new "The Hills" blog. I hope it turns out.

I thought I'd post some cute pictures of Kallen's first baseball game. He did great. I think he was more interested in the lights and the music at the game rather than the game itself. Who could blame him though...the Mariners lost...again. Oh well, maybe next time.

Although Kallen had lots of fun at the game, he soon got worn out. He made it to the 7th inning stretch and enjoyed singing, "Take Me Out to The Ball Game" with his Dad, but after that, he zonked out in a matter of seconds. He slept through the next inning and then we decided to call it a night.
